THE POET... MAYBE

  1. Look at my face. Look at it for the duration of a blink. Observe my features. They’re like those of anyone. Today you will see me pass by you, yet you will not recognize me. My face could even be yours. You stop a second before the mirror and all of a sudden the light clicks off. My face is no one’s.

Look at my face, then forget it.

  2. My name is Xu Kuan. Yesterday they called me Outis and tomorrow I will be Nemo. And you, what do you call yourself? Do you also have a name that is nothing but another utterance of the void? Say my name once, and let it close upon itself in the silence which is followed by nothingness.

The name of poets is made to be pronounced only once.

可能...自画像
